The Top 50 Most Shocking Moments! 50-41

GO TEAM! GO TEAM! GO TEAM!

Though we always cheer for our favourite team in sports, there are those moments that really shocked us off our seats. Here are the top 50 most shocking moments in Premier League history.

Today, we will be discussing the first 10. Stay tuned for the other ones!

50. Rio hit by coin at The Etihad
It's not nice to throw things at people! Though this guy sure didn't expect it! On December 9th, 2012, Rio Ferdinand screamed into the stands filled with passion, was suddenly struck by a 2p copper coin on the head, causing a head injury.

Tho he did suffer in this match and in live television, he still managed to tweet after the incident, "Whoever thre that coin, what a shot! Can't believe it was a copper 2p... could have at least been a £1 coin!" WHAT A SPORT!

49. Campbell quits at half-time - ABUSE!
Sol Campbell was the Tottenham Hotspur captain, academy product and 'the person who quit during half-time' for the Arsenal against West Ham match on February 1st, 2006. We all hate people making fun of us or talking 'slack' behind our backs. Though it is hard for the stadium to be giving out refunds for an 'unfinished' match, I agree with Campbell's action. Sometimes, the best answer is to just walk away from that person and let them shout all the crap they want by themselves.

Now the rest of the crowd can put the blame on that one person that ruined the day for them and the team.

48. Swearing in front of the camera
April 2nd, 2011
Winning is one thing, scoring a point is another. Though they both mean victory, we should still have self-control. Wayne Rooney was banned for two games (including a semi-final, resulting the team to lose) for swearing in-front of millions of people watching through their televisions. Again, a little self-control next time!

47. Fighting your own fans!
January 10, 2015
Very recently, we watched the unfortunate loss of Queens Park Rangers (QPR) and fans are not happy at the players, including one fan who Richard Dunne to have a clash with. Clint Hill was also got into a heated argument with a dozen of fans. I guess it is understandable, though they took the lead two games later, they have lost the match with a score of 39.

46. 'Quenelle'
December 28, 2013
Nicholas Anelka was sacked from the West Bromwich Albion team. The reason; Quenelle - An action viewed as anti-Semitic, inverted Nazi salute. Anelka was banned for 5 games and received a fine of £80,000 before being finally removed from the team for gross misconduct.

45. Vasovagal
March 4, 2015
Bafetimbi Gomis was suffering from Vasovagal - a medical condition which can lead to fainting. 6 minutes into the defeat of Swansea, the player collapsed and remained unconscious for 5 minutes. He regained consciousness as he was being taken away from the field and is up and running the following week.

44. Pleasantries Exchange
January 12, 2014
There was controversy between Manuel Pellegrini and Alan Pardew that a goal ruled out for offside interfered with play. Pardew ended an angry exchange by shouting: 'Shut your noise! F***ing old c***' which could be clearly lip-read on the television coverage. Many people were worried about minors being able to read the manager's lips. In the end, he apologized to Pellegrini privately and publicly to the fans.

43. Kick off after 90th-minute winner
January 7, 1998
Nobody wants to be left out, especially if it is during the beginning of the game. Temuri Ketsbala tore his shirt off, threw it to the ground and began kicking the advertising hoardings. Later, the reason for his tantrum was being left out of the starting line-up by then-manager Kenny Dalglish. 'I scored a goal, I was happy to score a goal but I was not happy to not be playing and I was frustrated,' Ketsbaia said. 'It's not a normal celebration, but I play with passion and all I wanted to do was play. It was not malicious.'

42. Spitting Row
March 4, 2015
Two wrongs don't make a right! Papiss Cisse may have carelessly swung a kick at Jonny Evans (Manchester United), though that was all it is, 'careless'. Evans turned and launched spit at Papiss. What is worse with doing something wrong? Doing it back to them, and that is what Cisse did. Both were banned for at least 5 games, with Cisse denying spitting in the first place.

41. Substitute that gets substituted
December 6, 2008
It is very 'human' to make mistakes, meaning we all make them. The important thing is learning from them and to not give up. Emmanuel Eboue was given a lot of 'boos' for putting up was considered to be one of the worst performances in Premier League history. A flood of tears came while being consoled by Emmanuel Adebayor. It still surprised people for him to have a tough skin (but not tough enough).

MCI Defeated by Spurs

Final Result : Spurs vs Man City 4 - 1
Goals : Dier (45'), Alderweireld (50'), Kane (61'), Lamela (79') | De Bruyne (25')
@White Hart Lane, London

Having won 5 out of 6 matches in a row before in 24th season, City is one of the tough teams to beat. But hey, here goes this match. Losing by 3-goal-margin was the City's hardest Barclays Premier League defeat, after had been defeated 0-3 by Liverpool in April 2011.

On the other hand, Tottenham Hotspurs has won 2 matches in a row before the game. Looking back the 7 games played this far with lost at first and getting draws then winning the last 3 matches, obviously some strategics have been managed successfully..

After this match, the next match was Man United vs Sunderland which MUN ended up to win by 3-0. Thia has put MUN over the league table with 16 pts replacing MCI with 15 pts, and leaving Spurs climb up too.

Within the game, Spurs players have shown some skills. Watch this for the goals and highlights!

Gotta say what an awesome game Spurs!
